10.00am – 12.30pm
2.00pm – 4.30pm

2.3 Arrivals and departures are strictly within the stated times. Collection outside of opening hours will incur a £30 charge, subject to availability and prior agreement.

2.4 All cats must arrive and depart in a secure, escape-proof carrier and must remain in their carrier while on the premises unless inside their allocated room. Carriers will be stored during the stay.

2.5 No refund will be given for early collection.

2.6 An emergency contact must be provided. This person must agree to collect your cat if required and consent to their details being held on file.

2.7 If a cat is not collected within 7 days of the agreed collection date and no contact is made, the cat will be considered abandoned and may be re-homed at our discretion.

2.8 Our appointment system allows two vehicles on the premises at any one time. A one-way system operates with exit via Ockham Lane. If parking is unavailable, you must wait until directed to enter.

2.9 The premises are secured by an electric gate which operates during office hours only.

3. VACCINATIONS AND HEALTH

3.1 All cats must have up-to-date core vaccinations for Feline Influenza, Feline Enteritis and Feline Leukaemia. Vaccinations must have been administered at least two weeks prior to boarding unless it is a valid annual booster.

3.2 Cats receiving their initial vaccination course must have completed both injections and allowed the manufacturer’s recommended period (typically 14 days) for immunity to develop.

3.3 An up-to-date vaccination certificate must be provided prior to arrival. Cats without valid certification will not be accepted. Registered veterinary details must also be provided.

3.4 All cats should have received recent veterinary-prescribed flea and worm treatment prior to boarding.

3.5 If fleas or worms are detected during boarding, the cat will be treated by Suma Farm’s veterinarian. This will incur a £25 cattery charge (covering transport and deep cleaning) in addition to veterinary fees.

3.6 Cats must be in good health on arrival and must not have had any communicable disease within the previous 30 days. Cats showing signs of infectious or contagious disease will not be accepted.

3.7 All pre-existing conditions must be declared. We reserve the right to consult a veterinary surgeon and to contact your veterinary practice regarding medical history relevant to the stay.

3.8 If medication is required, full written instructions must be provided prior to arrival. Medication must be clearly labelled with owner name, cat name, dosage and timing instructions. Medication will not be administered by a veterinary professional. We do not accept diabetic cats.

3.9 All male cats over four months of age must be neutered.

3.10 We reserve the right to refuse boarding if a cat is deemed unsuitable for the boarding environment.

3.11 No refund will be given where correct vaccinations are not provided.

4. INJURY AND ILLNESS

4.1 If a cat becomes ill or injured during boarding, we will contact you or your emergency contact and seek veterinary attention as necessary. Where possible, your own local vet will be used; otherwise, our nominated vet will be consulted.

4.2 All veterinary costs, including call-out fees, treatment, transport and accommodation, are the responsibility of the owner.

4.3 We accept no liability for injury arising from contact between cats from the same household sharing accommodation.

4.4 While every care is taken, cats are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk. We cannot be held liable for illness, injury or death during boarding.

4.5 Acceptance of these Terms authorises us to obtain veterinary care on your behalf if required.

5. BEHAVIOUR

5.1 If a cat poses a risk to staff or experiences significant stress not in its best interest, we reserve the right to request early collection. No refund will be given.

5.2 We reserve the right to separate cats from the same household or move accommodation where necessary. If an additional chalet is required, the additional charge will apply.

6. FOOD AND BELONGINGS

6.1 A standard range of cat food is included in the boarding fee.

6.2 Owners may provide their own food, supplied in sufficient quantity for the entire stay, in a rodent-proof and clearly labelled container.

6.3 No discount applies for providing your own food. Written feeding instructions must be provided.

6.4 For Health and Safety reasons, we do not accept personal belongings. Exceptions are the carrier, food, medication and one small blanket or item of clothing if desired. Bedding and toys are provided by Suma Farm.

6.5 While reasonable care is taken, we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to belongings. A written list of any permitted items should be provided.
